Peter Crnokrak is a Berlin computation artist, designer and researcher whose work addresses the ever changing reference point of experience and reality.

Focussing on the extremes of societal behaviour as a means by which to characterise the human condition, his practice is an experimental platform that utilises symbolic logic to communicate meaning in complex systems with work integrating research, analysis and experimental technologies.

Peter has been published in over 125 books, journals and magazines, and has won a number of international competitions including The Webbys, AIGA 365, German Design Award, Core77 Design Awards, International Society of Typographic Designers, and the European Design Awards. His work has been exhibited internationally including Tokyo, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. Peter was feature profiled in the 2019 Charlotte and Peter Fiell book, Graphic Design Sourcebook : The 100 Best Contemporary Graphic Designers.

In 2010, Peter was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in recognition of award winning expertise in design and data visualisation.

Peter holds a doctorate in computational science and has lectured at a number of international institutions including the Royal College of Art, London College of Communication and Sint-Lukas School of Design on the use of data visualisation as a critical design and art practice. Additionally he has taught user experience design for social good with methodologies that integrate new technologies in digital media.

Peter is currently professor and head of program of the Visual & Experience Design MA at Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule.
